in your family so that we do not run out of food.

(just reply to this email)
Please tell me your athlete's name and how many in your family
will be attending. If you know what you will be bringing it
will be helpful to know that.
We would also love to have some parents who can help set out
food and serve.
We have reserved the large and small pavilion at the State
Park.
You may want to bring some chairs and/or blankets if extra
seating is needed.
The park asks for a $3 donation per person to get into the
park. There is plenty of parking.
Directions:
From downtown, go east on Governor's Drive.
Turn left onto Monte Sano Blvd.
Turn right onto Nolen.
Go through the park gate, and take the first right into the
picnic area.
The pavilion will be at the far end of the parking lot.
There is a playground, playing field (frisbee, soccer, etc),
a frisbee golf course, a beautiful overlook, and hiking trails
near the pavilion. And bathrooms!

2010 AHSAA State Championships
At the first meet of the season Berta Amelinaite broke
the school record throwing 123-4. In a dramatic final
throw of the season she hit 122-10 to become the State
6A Champion. What can the freshman accomplish in her
career? Tune in next year.
The next best performance was by sophomore, Nathan
Vardaman, who again improved (7th time) to set a school
record in the long jump at 23-1.5 and take second place
in the meet. Huntsville boys also scored in the discus
(Grant Hill, 6th, Brian Hill 8th), shot put (Patrick
Junin, 7th, and 8th HHS All-Time), and 3200m (Jacob
Fuller, 7th). For the girl’s team only Marybeth
Strickland added a point (8th in the 800m).
Congratulations to coach Brad Hill who had four throwers
in the meet.
